TransportationBend is accessible by air or auto. The airport serving Bend is located 17 miles north of town in the neighboring community of Redmond, Oregon (airport code "RDM"). Sky West Airlines and Horizon Airlines are the two principle carriers serving Bend / Redmond, and they are affiliated with Alaska, United, American, Delta, U.S. Air, and their partner airlines, via flights from Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, Seattle, or Portland, Oregon. To get from the airport in Redmond to your hotel in Bend, and then back to the airport upon your departure, you will either need to take a taxi, shuttle bus, or rent a car. Cost for a taxi or shuttle is approximately $30 to $40 each way. You can prearrange for a taxi, shuttle, or rental car by contacting one of the following:
We will provide a complimentary, daily shuttle bus service to and from the school if you will be staying at one of our recommended hotels (see "lodging"). If you plan on extending your stay in Bend beyond the conclusion of your class on Wednesday, then renting a car will provide you with the flexibility to explore and take in the sights of the surrounding area (see "things to do").
